What Our Process Looks Like:
Pressure Washing - We begin any wood restoration project by giving the wood a thorough pressure wash. We reduce the pressure and increase the water flow which allows us to effectively remove dirt, algae, moss, discolouration, and any previous paint from the wood.
Sanding - Once the wood has dried, we begin sanding everything down. Sanding removes any lifted wood fibers and smooths out splinters and rough patches. Sanding will also remove any deeply engrained algae or mildew from the wood while also shaving off any old paint. We use a wide range of electric sanders with varying grits depending on the type of wood and the board's accessibility. The goal of sanding is to properly prepare the wood for stain and sealer.
Staining / Sealing - Lastly, we apply a high quality stain which adds a rich tone to the wood while enhancing the natural look of every board. The stain and sealers we use are oil-based allowing the pigment to deeply set into the wood rather than chipping or peeling like many products that are available in hardware stores. Our product is specifically manufactured for our Canadian climate meaning the results will last several years despite our harsh winters.

We offer a wide selection of stain colours, including clear, cedar, pecan, redwood, mahogany, chestnut, and walnut. For each option, we have numerous before-and-after photos available so you can see how the finished result will look prior to starting your project.
